Scale Gliders and other Scale planes

Scale Gliding

Held at the Milang site this discipline involves the use of a powered Model Tug plane that tows a glider built to scale of an actual glider.

These are often built from traditional building materials using plans from other modelers or drawn up from scratch. There are also a growing number of ready made scale gliders available. This is a very relaxing form of the hobby! There is no competition involved it is purely the pleasure and sometimes nostalgia to watch, up to half scale models of actual early gliders.
