2 Metre Class

A low key, enjoyable competition for any 2-3 channel gliders up to 2m in span (ie Rudder, Elevator and optional spoilers). Models are launched by bungee and attempt to stay aloft for 5 minutes, landing close to a marked spot on the ground as close to the 5 minutes as possible. The competition is usually run at Victoria Park from 9AM until about 12:30PM.

We welcome members from other clubs, and beginners who would like to start in this low stress competition.

There are approx 9 events scheduled each year and at the end of the year aggregated scores determine the winner of the Belperio Clark Solicitors perpetual trophy.

This is a great class to start to compete in, you can buy kits to build like Greg Potter's Miles, pictured or Almost ready to Fly, "Spirit" or "Gentle Lady" a couple of classic 2 Metre sailplanes.
